4 Top NBA Props for Friday (12/6)

The NBA has gifted us a 10-game slate where nine of the 10 are projected to be within five points, giving us plenty of NBA props to choose from.

Among my favorites is Jarrett Allen of the Brooklyn Nets.

We’ll also look at Zach LaVine’s resurgence since getting into a little tiff with his coach. Tristan Thompson is especially cheap with news that Kevin Love is expecting to miss tonight’s game. And Kemba Walker has the toughest matchup of the slate.

My article card went a perfect 4-0 the last time out, and here is my YTD Record on NBA Props:

  • Free NBA Props Article Picks : 37-20 (64.9%)
  • Slack Chat Subscriber Picks: 151-84 (64.2%)
  • Total : 188-104 (64.3%)

If you want even more NBA action, our premium Slack Chat is the place to be. We stay busy in there, and we are always grinding, giving out NBA props and talking strategy. The NBA is volatile, with late minute scratches, and our chat gives you up-to-the-minute updates on breaking news and how that impacts each player as new plays open up. Brooklyn Nets Center Jarrett Allen

Over 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114)

If Allen plays well, Allen plays a ton.

That has been the narrative so far this season as he’s splitting time with DeAndre Jordan. Allen will draw the start, and over his last five games, he’s averaged 28.4 minutes. During that stretch he’s hit the targeted 25.5 four times.

  • The Hornets are the 27th-best rebounding team in the league
  • Over the last two weeks they’ve allowed 23 PPG and 19 RPG to opposing Centers
  • Allen played these same Hornets eight games ago and put up 22 Points, 17 Rebounds, and 39 PRA in 28 minutes of action

Splitting time with Jordan is always concerning, but Allen is locked into a starting role, is playing 28 minutes, and he shattered the 25.5 target in 28 minutes of action against the Hornets the last game out.

Chicago Bulls Guard Zach LaVine

Over 24 Points (-114)

LaVine has been on an absolute tear lately, and all it took was a little argument with his coach.

After that, he redefined his role in the offense, and that role is to score. Here are his scoring totals since the spat:

LaVine has averaged 30.6 PPG over his last six games and just scored 36 against the Warriors, his matchup tonight.

Cleveland Cavs Center Tristan Thompson

Over 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-105)

Thompson is probable tonight but is fully expected to play. He has an illness that has caused the probable tag.

His front-court running mate, Kevin Love, missed this morning’s shoot around and is not likely to play. This is good news for Thompson who currently has a low total and gets a big boost when Love is off the floor.

Thompson is locked into minutes, averaged over 32 minutes his last five games. He’ll also benefit from going against an Orlando Magic team missing its best player in Center Nikola Vucevic.

Thompson played against these same Magic three games ago and had 13 Points, 15 Rebounds and two assists, 30 PRA. Thompson has hit the targeted 25.5 PRA in two of his last three games and is in prime position to do so again.

Boston Celtics Guard Kemba Walker

Under 33 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114)

Walker gets a really tough matchup against the Denver Nuggets who are the best team in the NBA defensively at guarding Point Guards. Walker played these Nuggets five games ago and had one rebound and three assists in 12 minutes of action before exiting out with a gruesome injury.

Walker was also 0-3 from the field at that point, well on his way to a disappointing game.

The Nuggets have not allowed a single Point Guard to go over the targeted 33 PRA in the last six games. Their defense also ranks first in the league in defensive rating.

Walker is not in the best spot against these Nuggets and their number one ranked defensive squad. Walker has also missed the targeted 33 in two of his last three games and this is not a very good spot to get right in.
